New townhouse opened in Rheinstetten

Rheinstetten has a new center: the community center, the heart of the new town center, was officially opened. The modern building brings together the town’s central facilities and also creates space for meetings, education and culture.
The citizens’ office, town library, rooms for the adult education center and a wedding room with direct access to the wedding garden are all under one roof. The heart of the building is the multifunctional hall, which can be used for events, celebrations and meetings. The market square in front with its water features invites people to linger and makes the new city center a place of exchange and liveliness.
At the official inauguration at the end of September, Lord Mayor Sebastian Schrempp thanked everyone involved in the project for their commitment. With the community center, a project that was initiated around twenty years ago in the urban development of Rheinstetten has become a reality – and is now the prelude to the further development of the town center.
The building was designed by Freiburg architects K9. The combination of wood and recycled exposed concrete ensures a modern, sustainable appearance. Generous glass surfaces emphasize the openness and transparency of the building and create a bright, inviting atmosphere.
THOST supported the Project Controlling. Our employees Mathias Heiser, Sabrina Wettstein and Fabienne Rau were on site and witnessed the grand opening as a successful conclusion to an intensive collaboration.
Gastronomy, services and retail are expected to further revitalize the area by Easter 2026. Thanks to the good bus and train connections, the new town center is directly accessible from all parts of the town. We are delighted with the successful completion of the project and wish the town of Rheinstetten and its citizens much joy with their new community and cultural center.
