A strong signal for Europe’s hydrogen future: France Hydrogène and the German Hydrogen Association (DWV) e.V. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at “Hyvolution Paris”.

The aim of the agreement is to deepen Franco-German cooperation along the entire hydrogen value chain: from production, infrastructure and transportation to demand, regulation and market mechanisms. This should not only strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, but also create planning security for industry, investors and politicians; embedded in European cooperation and in close coordination with Hydrogen Europe.

A particular focus of the MoU is on the harmonization of regulatory framework conditions, the coordination of infrastructure projects and the reduction of investment risks – key prerequisites for a successful hydrogen ramp-up.

The agreement was signed by Silke Frank, President of DWV, and Dr. Nicolas Brahy, President of France Hydrogène. As a member of the German Hydrogen Association, we expressly welcome this alliance. Cross-border cooperation such as this is crucial in order to harmonize regulatory frameworks, accelerate investments and establish hydrogen as a mainstay of the European energy transition.
