THOST donates 3,000 Euros to the Ettlingen Community Foundation

Our Managing Director, Mathias Heiser, personally presented the donation check for 3,000 euros to Josef Offele, Chairman of the Ettlingen Community Foundation and former mayor. The donation ceremony took place on July 22, 2026, at the Community Foundation’s offices at Badener-Tor-Straße 7 in Ettlingen.

We are pleased to support the Community Foundation. As an independent, nonprofit organization, it funds projects that serve the interests of the city and its residents but do not fall within the scope of the local government’s responsibilities.

In addition, the foundation initiates and organizes its own projects with a focus on education, physical education, culture, sports, and social issues. Among other things, it supports projects that could not take place without funding, serve as models or examples, or strengthen social cohesion in Ettlingen.

The quality of the foundation’s work is recognized even beyond the region: The Ettlingen Community Foundation has been awarded the seal of approval by the Federal Association of German Foundations—an important sign of transparency and responsible use of funds.

THOST’s commitment to charitable giving is part of its CSR philosophy: responsibility toward people, society, and the environment is an integral part of the company’s strategy. Our actions are guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To strengthen our regional ties, some of the donation recipients are selected through a participatory process in which employees at our various Locations submit suggestions and have a say in the decision. Management also helps select organizations as donation recipients—as is the case here.
