Topping-out ceremony for the new location of
Citizen Machinery Europe GmbH

An important milestone has been reached for the new European location of Citizen Machinery Europe GmbH in Ostfildern-Scharnhausen: the topping-out ceremony marks the start of the construction project.

A multifunctional location with office, training and exhibition space is being created on a gross floor area of around 8,000 m². The building will be complemented by a technology competence center with an assembly hall as well as workshop and storage areas. In future, Citizen Machinery’s new location will bundle central sales and service activities for large parts of Europe. It will also provide space for customer events, training courses and live machine demonstrations.
A special focus is placed on a sustainable energy concept. Heating and cooling are supplied via an innovative district network that is being developed together with the energy supplier EnBW. In addition, heat pumps, photovoltaic panels on the roof and façade as well as green building areas are used.

THOST Projektmanagement GmbH is supporting the project on behalf of Citizen Machinery Europe GmbH in Project Controlling and Construction Management. The project team, led by Jens-Daniel Herrmann, is working closely with the Vollack Group as general planner and construction contractor.

After the topping-out ceremony, the interior work will now begin. Completion of the new Locations is scheduled for the end of 2026.
