In Baden-Württemberg, federally owned real estate with an area of around 100 hectares is being developed for future use with housing and jobs for around 15,000 people. The basis for this is the “Dynamic Master Plan”, which was developed together with the city as part of an international building exhibition. In addition to the development of several hundred apartments and the associated infrastructure, the master plan also provides for the redesigning of open spaces and the upgrading of former officers’ housing in the north of the site through preparatory planning. Another sub-project involves the relocation of the arrival center for asylum seekers.
THOST provided technical support and cost controlling for the implementation of the “Dynamic Master Plan”. This included the review and preparation of the measures, a detailed cost overview and the assessment of the expected development costs. The cost controlling covered the entire area and all sub-projects and enabled a well-founded land value assessment by external experts.
