Renovation and extension of a swimming pool

As part of a complex construction project, a swimming pool in Baden-Württemberg was renovated and extended to create a modern and energy-saving swimming pool. A 25-metre swimming pool with a convertible roof and partially openable walls was newly built as a combined pool, while the infrastructure with changing areas and catering zones was comprehensively modernized. The entire pool water technology was renewed and brought up to the latest technical standards. The measures were carried out in two construction phases while the pool was in operation, ensuring full functionality at all times.

A training and therapy pool with a raised floor was also built. The foyer was significantly upgraded with an open reception desk and a transparent entrance front. New office and seminar rooms were also created by adding a storey to the building.

THOST was responsible for the project management in accordance with architectural guidelines of project stages 1 to 5 in areas A to E and ensured that all project objectives were achieved on time, cost-effectively and to a high standard of quality.
