Signal System Modernization

As part of the replacement of the signalling systems in the interlocking area of the existing Ansbach relay interlocking and Triesdorf station, THOST Projektmanagement implemented the modernization to the latest ESTW interlocking technology with Ks signalling. The elements of the control and safety technology (LST) were replaced 1:1 in accordance with the current regulations. At the same time, the implementation of standardized system interfaces created the basis for integrating the interlocking area into the rail network operator’s digitalization offensive in the future and incorporating it into the concept of technical and operational management locations.

THOST took over the analysis of the planning and execution status as well as the critical evaluation of the schedule up to completion and user handover. In addition, we planned and managed the commissioning and acceptance processes, identified risks and developed countermeasures. We also managed the organization and coordination of the construction process, including reporting and administrative processes.
