New construction of a teaching and research building

Saarland University of Applied Sciences in Saarbrücken has seen a continuous increase in student numbers for years. For this reason, a new building for teaching and research was constructed at the Alt-Saarbrücken campus. The building is available to the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics Sensor Technology and Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering.

THOST took over the organization and implementation of a restricted planning competition to select the architectural firm. First of all, we prepared, carried out and evaluated the competition in accordance with the Public Procurement Ordinance (VgV). We then supervised the realization competition and the preparation of the tender. In addition, THOST was involved in the selection, commissioning and support of the jury panel as well as the organization of the deadline and the preliminary examination of the competition entries. Finally, we prepared, conducted and evaluated the negotiation procedure with the competition winners.
