Gasunie is an energy infrastructure provider that operates and maintains the infrastructure for the transportation and storage of gas on a large scale in the Netherlands and northern Germany. At present, this mainly involves natural gas, but Gasunie is pursuing the goal of expanding its activities in the field of renewable energies as part of the Energy Transition. The focus here is on the development of a large-scale infrastructure for the transportation of green hydrogen.
In the HyOne project, electricity generated by offshore wind energy is to be used to produce hydrogen directly at sea. This will be transported to the Dutch mainland via a network of underwater pipelines. The planned infrastructure will reliably transport large quantities of hydrogen to industrial customers and other users who want to switch to renewable energy sources. The project plays a key role in the sustainable energy future of the region.
THOST Projektmanagement supported the project with a central Project Management Office (PMO). Services included the development and structuring of a cross-project reporting system, change management, risk management and the establishment of standardized communication and decision-making channels.
