The state capital Munich has built a new grammar school with an attached multi-purpose sports hall in the Trudering district. The sports hall can accommodate around 500 spectators and can be used for a wide range of sports. The school complex is complemented by an underground car park with around 140 parking spaces and extensive outdoor sports facilities.
The building follows a contemporary learning centre concept with modern classrooms, specialist rooms for science, music and crafts, and facilities for all-day use, including a canteen, a kiosk and an assembly hall. The flexible room layout allows for various forms of structured, individual or group-based learning.
The school is a showcase project for Munich for certified passive building construction, which makes the building a highly energy-efficient, sustainable structure. THOST Project Management was responsible for comprehensive Project Controlling in all project stages and areas of activity in accordance with German engineering standards and made a significant contribution to its successful implementation.
