THOST was commissioned to provide Project Management and planning services for an extra-high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission cable. The cable runs from a location in Saxony-Anhalt to a substation at the Isar nuclear power plant in Bavaria. The project was expanded in 2021 to include an additional HVDC cable from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to the substation of the Isar nuclear power plant in Bavaria, which runs parallel to the original line from a certain point.
