In line with the Paris Climate Agreement, Our Company wants to reduce its own carbon footprint and become carbon neutral by 2030.
Our Company holds a large number of properties in its portfolio with a gross floor area of over 530,000, plus other rented properties. The properties are divided into various building categories, including office buildings, network centers, training and operating facilities, which have different usage units and sizes.
We first determined the energy status of 20 selected existing buildings belonging to Our Company. On this basis, we then drew up Energy-efficient Renovation Roadmaps, which combine the data collected for the respective properties and present it in a uniform manner. The Energy-efficient Renovation Roadmaps contain measures that, once implemented, will enable Our Company to achieve the climate targets it has set itself.
To draw up the energy-efficient renovation roadmaps, we inspected and analyzed the energy-related building material, determined the area of the necessary components and identified the measures required to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions. We also developed an overarching decarbonization strategy and drew up an investment cost plan.
