A technology group has built a modern, sustainably operated office building in Mannheim’s Connect4 district. Four interconnected building blocks with around 12,000 m² of flexibly usable office and co-working space have been created on a plot of around 10,000 m² in the immediate vicinity of Mannheim Airport, supplemented by a multi-storey parking lot and a near-natural green space as an ecological compensation area. The building was constructed using architectural concrete sandwich construction and meets the KfW 40 standard. Among other things, heat pumps, photovoltaic systems and digital control systems ensure CO₂-neutral operation.
THOST Projektmanagement has acted as project manager since 2020 and provided the client with comprehensive support – from user communication and workshop moderation to planning coordination, coordination on the construction site, acceptance monitoring and defect management. Move-in took place on schedule at the end of 2024.
