Efficient project optimization in the Construction industry

Lean Management in Construction (LMC) is derived from the classic “lean management method” of the automotive industry. It ensures that everything runs as smoothly as possible, from planning and execution to the completion of a project, and we support our customers and clients in optimizing planning and execution processes, minimizing the waste of materials, time and costs and thus offering them maximum added value. The early implementation of lean management is particularly advantageous, but it also provides valuable support for ongoing projects in order to overcome challenges effectively. We use the Last Planner System® methodology in particular for both the execution phase (lean construction) and the planning phase (lean design), as well as the cycle planning/cycle control approach as an alternative. As part of a simulation workshop, we also offer the opportunity for project participants to get to know LMC methodology.

Our Expertise

Simulation workshop

Principle:

  • Introducing project participants to the LMC method as part of a simulation workshop
  • Practical implementation of the lean methodology using simulations on a Lego house

Target:

  • Introducing project participants to the topic of lean management in the construction industry
  • Joint development of the lean idea
  • Shared experience of the benefits of lean management for the construction site

Process planning

Principle:

  • Process planning with the client and planning team
  • Monthly / weekly implementation

Target:

  • Joint development of the processes
  • Joint review of activities for interfaces, impediments and dependencies on upstream services
  • Milestone scheduling
  • Regular target/actual comparison

Consultancy services

Principle:

  • Advice on selecting the lean method
  • Advice on drafting contracts
  • Advice on writing tenders

Target:

  • Presenting the lean method
  • Clarifying customer expectations
  • Defining methods and work packages
  • Supporting the decision-making process
