Lean Management in construction
If the Lean Production method is applied to the process planning of a construction project, one can talk about lean management in construction. Teamwork in the construction project team, a high degree of communication, usually with quarterly, weekly and daily planning all help to stabilise the construction process in terms of quality and, in particular, deadlines. All processes are thought through from the end, push becomes pull. The optimisation of the whole project is of primary importance – as opposed to the often customary optimisation of individual measures separated by many interfaces. This not only increases the trust and commitment, motivation and performance. The team continues to evolve as the project progresses, delivering the best possible overall performance.
